11 color, limited edition, hand-printed serigraph celebrating Chico’s beloved Bidwell Park.

In the 1930s, as part of the New Deal, the US Government created the Works Project Administration (WPA), employing millions of job-seekers to carry out public works projects, including the construction of public buildings, roads, airports, bridges etc. In addition, the WPA hired artists to create and print silkscreen posters to commemorate our National Parks. These iconic prints played a major role in my becoming a printmaker, and are the inspiration behind these new pieces. For over 20 years, I’ve had the idea in mind to honor Bidwell Park with a similar set of prints and I am proud to finally have them finished. I hope they do service to our beloved park.
